Many thanks to the Urban Roots volunteers who worked on the Communal Plot, the Serafina Plot, the swale and the orchard. We have since enjoyed peaches from the orchard 🙂 It takes a community to run a successful garden.

Also a great big thanks to UT Professor Steve Ross’s Architecture class who worked on a keyhole garden and improved our paths. Many hands make light work.

Thanks to our community for supporting our treasured urban garden.

Reminder: Festival Beach Community Garden Spring Equinox Celebration: Sunday, March 20, 2016 5-7pm

FBCG_SpringEquinox

Hello Gardeners!

Hope everyone is enjoying the gorgeous (almost) spring weather today!   I want to remind you about our scheduled pot luck party 5pm-7pm this Sunday.  Extra points if you bring a pot luck dish that includes something from the garden!

There will be an area set up for seed exchange, so bring any that you are willing to part with and walk away with seeds you can plant, grow and enjoy!

Please remember we are a ‘leave no trace’ space so let’s all try to remember to bring plates and cups from home to keep trash to a minimum.  We will have a washing station for cleaning dishes and also ice water.
I have one volunteer to help set up so far, and any more will be appreciated!  Let’s meet at the garden at 4:00 to set up…Thanks and hope to see you all Sunday!
Thanks,
Allison
