Event: Calling All Gardeners: Saturday, August 8, 2015 8-11am

It’s time for our monthly work day tomorrow, Saturday Aug 8 from 8am to 11am.  Lets start early before it gets hot and leave early!  The Grapes and Berries Team will lead this month.

My main focus this Saturday is to prune the blackberries.  Anyone who would like to help needs to wear long sleeves and pants, have leather gloves and a hat to cover long hair.  I have a pair of loppers and three pairs of gloves, but another pair of loppers would be helpful.

Anyone who wants to bring snacks can.  I will provide ice water.  I’m not sure if there are any paper cups so bring yours!

See you in the cool bright and early!

Need July Work Hours? We have a deal for You!

We’re nearing the end of July .  If you need work hours, here are a few opportunities:   1) Bring a bag (or bags) and remove trash from the trash can near the shed.  Please take it away from the garden.  Remember our Leave No Trace policy!   2) Pull morning glory plants from perennial beds.  They’re lovely, but they’re choking our native plants!   3) Pull weeds from the granite around accessible beds.   Don’t forget to sign the work hours sheet!   Thank you!
